DON'T ACT THE SCENE

BEHIND THE SCENE

I have seen through the facades of our faces. Behind the masks on our faces, the realities hidden in our innocent compliments, curtsies and smiles. Feigning it through, like everything is fair, and life has always embraced us with her endearing-warm-coat of many colours, laced with petals of roses.

No tears, no regrets, no remorse. Like Jesus had written our lives' scripts with a dimpled smile, not putting such moments of tears, struggles, challenges or regrets, as some ‘artificial us’ will term 'abundant life'.

Such hypocrisy that I have only seen Pharisees exude with saintly dexterity has found its’ way into our normal lives at an optimal peak.

I have seen and counseled ladies and men who have out of their getting sincere with themselves, put aside those castles of their super-man and super-woman-manliness and accept their frailties, weaknesses, struggles, yearnings, and desires.

Evoking and expressing such emotion with soft-salty-tears. Such that translates the words their hearts and lips can’t find expressions for.
I have at such moments seen the child in them and the desire in them, wishing they were still kids, wrapped in the security of their parents, sucking through their mothers’ breast of love.

I have learnt through all these that we all need to face a reality of what happens to us behind the scenes, and such sincerity will help us find succour in the hands of people who truly love and care, especially such that have been through what we have. Like an high priest who was at all points been tempted like we, Christ sure feels what we go through and He will sure lavish His love on us with all wisdom and prudence. For He has said; ‘cast thy burdens on Me for I care for you’. Such assurance that we get from the fact that His love to us is awe-inspiring should open our hearts to be vulnerable to this love.

For me, far beyond the smiles of my face, there are large numbers of the behind the scene contents in the pages of my life.

For us, the warmth that we need is for God to hug us with His embrace of love...behind the scenes of our lives.
